This listing is for one 7.5", 6", 5", 4" or 3" edible cake topper printed on a Frosted Icing Sheet (also known as frosting sheets) or Wafer Paper (also known as rice paper), using edible ink.
The cake topper is uncut and will require you to cut it out yourself using a pair of clean, dry scissors. Please see the “How To Apply The Cake Topper” section for more information.
This design may also be available as smaller, 1.5” cupcake toppers. If you require cupcake toppers or perhaps a different style/design, please search the cupcake toppers section of our shop!
The order will be sent in a resealable plastic bag to help it remain fresh and within a cardboard backed envelope for protection. They will last for up to 12 months if stored in a cool, dry, flat location (somewhere like a cupboard or drawer works perfectly) and within the original packaging but we recommend using them within three months of purchase for best results.
FROSTED ICING SHEET VS WAFER PAPER
For the best quality results, we will always advise and recommend you purchase a Frosted Icing Sheet cake topper.
Wafer Paper toppers are usually an acceptable substitute if you’re making a cheaper cake where quality is not the main focus, but please keep in mind that wafer paper is more transparent and the colours will not be as vibrant as shown on the pictures above so there will be a noticeable difference in quality.

HOW TO APPLY THE CAKE TOPPER
To apply the cake topper, simply cut it out with a pair of clean, dry scissors. Once you have cut out the cake topper, apply the topper onto the cake using a VERY SMALL amount of water and gently press down with your clean, dry hands going from the middle outwards until the topper melds to the cake nicely.
If you have ordered a Frosted Icing Sheet, there will be a clear plastic backing that you will need to peel off before applying the topper to the cake. If the backing does not want to separate from the icing sheet, a SHORT 5 second chill in the fridge can help to firm up the icing, allowing the backing to separate easier.
Wafer paper does not come on a backing and can be applied as soon as you have cut it out.
WARNING: If you have purchased a wafer paper cake topper, be careful as the wafer paper will curl or dissolve if it gets too wet, so it’s best not to use it on wet or runny icing until it has set.
Be careful applying the cake toppers onto freshly creamed or buttercream cakes, as the fat in some types of cream will dissolve wafer paper and frosted icing sheets over time. If you’re not sure, then wait to apply the cake topper until the day of the event and use the cake as soon as possible to avoid the topper from getting ruined.
Once a cake topper has been applied to a cake do not put the cake in the fridge or any cold location, as the cold temperature will cause the cake topper to become brittle and crack, ruining the image.
