For the best finish, colour and overall quality, we always recommend choosing a Frosted Icing Sheet topper.
Please see the comparison image below for a visual guide.
Please make sure to read this section in full if you have not used these before. We do not include printed instructions with the order, helping us reduce paper use and keep costs down for yourself :)
- Carefully cut around the toppers using clean, dry scissors.
- If you ordered a Frosted Icing Sheet, peel away the clear plastic backing before applying. Wafer paper has no backing, so it can be applied as soon as it has been cut out.
- Use a VERY SMALL amount of water to attach the toppers to the cupcakes.
- Gently smooth from the middle outwards with clean, dry hands until the toppers sits neatly on the cupcakes.
- If the icing sheet backing is hard to remove, place it in the fridge for around 5 seconds to help firm it up.
- Wafer paper can curl or dissolve if it gets too wet, so apply it to a dry or set surface.
- Fresh cream and some buttercreams can affect edible toppers over time, so for best results apply as close to the event as possible.
- Once the toppers have been added to the cupcakes, do not refrigerate, as cold temperatures can make them brittle and cause cracking.
If you're ever feeling a little unsure about applying the toppers, you can find helpful step-by-step video guides online to follow along at your own pace.
- Your toppers are packed in a resealable plastic bag to help keep them fresh.
- They are posted in a board-backed envelope for protection in transit.
- Store flat in a cool, dry and flat place such as a cupboard or drawer.
- When kept in their original packaging, they can last for up to 12 months.
- For best results, we recommend using them within 3 months of purchase.
